Do you think it is possible to upgrade my tickets with this scenario –
My flight was booked for me to travel to Japan on united by way of SEA-SFO-HND-OKI – Since I cannot transfer points to united, could I possibly transfer points to ANA and then upgrade through them if I sign up for their rewards program? Is there an easier way?

Been told to drop the points into my Delta sky miles acct. Not sure on how to get the best value. Star alliance partners? Was also told that I need to book with Delta & the miles aren’t transferable. You are getting back your marginal tax rate percentage in cash by paying for it. I tend to use POINTS for things I can not deduct such as a foreign vacation or even sunglasses if the ratio works. I dont see the value in using points for something I can get a tax benefit for. It makes it less worthwhile.
