JAL Business Class to SE Asia is 65K AS miles one way and not the touted 60K or 50K!

Flying from LA area to Bangkok: taking us to Seattle for overnight layover and the next day bring us back to LA for a flight to KIX and on to BKK!!!

In reply to Alan Harvey. Not only worse. Impossible. It is really frustrating and angering. Every “premium class” award ticket on international partners is first class for the short connections, and economy for the long hauls (the part that matters!). Yet they still price these as premium awards. Terrible. Buyer beware: Alaska is not going to deliver on the award promise.

Alaska seems to now offer on their partners business class on the shortest flights then coach on the long haul portion it’s getting worse every year

Yes, Alaska Mileage Plan is great even for non-businessman travellers.
I live in Alaska and Alaska has some added bonus benefits for Alaska residents called Club 49 that gives two free checked pieces to and from Alaska; and three free within Alaska.
