In reply to Kristen. Unfortunately not, only one Companion Pass per Southwest account. If one of your kids can manage to earn the Pass, that'd be great! But it would be exceptionally difficult to achieve without credit card bonuses.

If the $2,000 must be spent in the first 3 months from account opening, would you suggest to apply just after October 1st or more around the middle of October?

I’ve looked everywhere…maybe you can help. I’m a single mom with 3 kids. Is it possible to somehow have two companion passes(as a two parent family could)? One in my name and maybe one in the kids? I do have two small businesses to get additional points. Any ideas how to make this work with only one “adult ?” All kids are teens (16, 16, 14).

Once I hit 125k points and qualify for the 2021 companion pass (as I already have) do the points I earn the rest of this year go towards earning the pass for 2022?

If I purchase southwest points, does that count towards the companion pass? And how do I earn 125000 by January if you can only earn points within the calendar year? Thanks!

I am on target to earn the SWA Companion Pass this year. I am confused about how I can earn the pass in January to ensure that I receive the benefit of the Companion Pass for almost 2 years. I understand that all 125,000 points must be earned in 2020. However, I read that I want to complete the last bit of my spending in January. These two suggestions seem contradictory. Do I want to reach 125,000 points in December or January?

I understand SW is extending all current companion passes until June 2021. However, what if we are pacing to earn the companion pass again this year by mid to end December 2020 – we lose 6 months of an earned companion pass next year because they are extending this years pass into next year. I would understand if the qualifying points are cut in half to 62,500 for current companion pass holders but it’s not. Even with the bonus points, it is only lowered to 100,000. Has this situation been discussed or addressed? Thank you in advance for your assistance. I’m sure I’m not the only current companion pass holder experiencing this situation.

I got my hubby a companion pass that is suppose to end this year in Dec. Because of Corona will it be extended?

Here is the real burning question now. If you earned the pass, like I did, in January, 2020, will SW extend the pass given the Corona situation? Most of us cannot fly, SW has cancelled many flights and it might be most of 2020 before we get back to normal again. In other words, a waste of an entire year of the companion pass. Seems to me that SW should extend the passes one earned. Any word on that?
